Conaway Chronicle Volume 8, Issue 2
__________________________________________

Thank you for reading the Conaway Chronicle, a weekly review of my activities in Congress. I wanted to share with you why I am proud to support the Second Amendment.

Our Founding Fathers saw firsthand the importance of ensuring and protecting the right to keep and bear arms. This right, enumerated in the Constitution, is a guarantee against tyranny and oppression.

As a gun owner, I am proud to defend the Second Amendment and the constitutionally protected right of Americans to keep and bear arms. I will continue to fervently oppose legislation that would impinge on the freedom and rights of law-abiding Americans to own and carry firearms.

COFFEE WITH CONAWAY

If you will be in Washington this weekend, please stop by my office for a Coffee with Conaway on Tuesday, Jan. 22, the day after the inauguration. This open house gives West Texans a chance to stop by, grab a coffee, warm up, and meet me and my staff in the 11th District office. It’s a great opportunity for you to see how our office works for the people of the 11th District and for us to learn how we can better serve you.

Our office is located in room 2430 on the fourth floor, southeast corner of the Rayburn House Office Building. I hope to see you there.

If you have any questions, please call the Washington office at (202) 225-3605.

GRANBURY GRAND OPENING

I’m pleased to announce the opening of a new regional office in Granbury to serve residents of Eastland, Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto and Stephens counties. These counties were recently added to the 11th Congressional District through redistricting. I held a grand opening and ribbon cutting at the office Jan. 11 and was pleased to have the chance to meet with many new constituents.

The office is located at 132 N. Houston St. in Granbury. As the office is new, the phone system is still being installed. The phone number will be included in a future Conaway Chronicle when the system is up and running.

Diane Williams will serve as the Granbury regional director. She was previously a field representative for U.S. Rep. Bill Flores (R-Texas) in his Cleburne office. She is a resident of Joshua and a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and the University of Texas at Arlington. I'm glad to welcome Diane and know she will be a great resource for residents in the Granbury area.

Thanks for reading the Conaway Chronicle, and I hope to see you at one of my events soon. As always, you can follow me on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Sincerely,

Rep. Mike Conaway, 11th District
