Conaway Chronicle: Town Hall RecapSan Saba County Courthouse Renovations, Honoring Those Who Sacrificed

Thank you for reading The Conaway Chronicle, a review of my activities in Congress and the 11th District.

Town Hall Recap

Thanks to all who made the trip out to one of my town halls this week in Junction, Coleman, and Goldthwaite. We've had some really terrific conversations about healthcare, tax reform, national security and many other topics of interest. I am continually impressed by the way in which District 11 constituents are able to express their opinions in a way that is respectful to one another. I appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to participate and have your voice heard!

San Saba County Courthouse Renovations

We visited the San Saba County Courthouse this morning while in San Saba, Texas. Over the last few months, they've gutted it, in order to restore it to its historic look circa early 1900s (approx. 1911). This has been a dream of the community for nearly 20 years. I look forward to coming back when the renovations are completed next year to see the finished courthouse.

Honoring Those Who Sacrificed

Memorial Day is a day to honor the many men and women who made the greatest sacrifice they could for our nation. Earlier in the week, I shared a video on Facebook of Rep. Mast's speech on the House Floor about what Memorial Day means to him as a veteran. On Monday, I was able to join in the Memorial Day Exercises at historic Fort Concho in San Angelo on Monday to remember our fallen servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives to protect our republic.

As always, you can follow me on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
