Conaway Chronicle: Agriculture Secretary Perdue and Senator Cruz in TX-11Town Hall Recap

Thank you for reading The Conaway Chronicle, a review of my activities in Congress and the 11th District.

Agriculture Secretary Perdue and Senator Cruz in TX-11

This week, Secretary Perdue and I traveled to the Houston area to survey the agricultural damage from Hurricane Harvey. We met with farmers and producers, toured facilities, and saw firsthand the devastation caused  by the storm. Today, I brought Secretary Perdue and Senator Cruz to Lamesa for a look at production agriculture in the 11th District. We visited King Mesa Cotton Gin, Matt Farmer Farms, Indian Canyon Ranch, and wrapped up the day at the Southwest Council of Agribusiness's annual meeting.

Town Hall Recap

It's been a great week in the 11th District. We held five town halls, and heard from hundreds of constituents about the issues most on their minds. Thanks to all who made the trip out to Lamesa, Odessa, Robert Lee, San Angelo, and San Saba. We had important conversations about health care, immigration, tax reform, and the next farm bill.

Town halls are an essential part of my efforts to stay in touch with constituents, and I appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to participate and have your voice heard.

As always, you can follow me on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
