Congressional Youth Advisory Council

***The deadline to apply for the 2017 CYAC is October 6, 2018***

The Congressional Youth Advisory Council of U. S. Representative Mike Conaway offers high school students an excellent opportunity to learn about government, collaborate and discuss various topics with fellow high school students, and provide service to the 11th Congressional District.

The CYAC program consists of two to three separate meeting a school year with Congressman Conaway. If accepted into the program, you must be able to attend meetings. Please note-- all meeting dates are subject to possible changes in the Congressional calendar.

Academic or community service credit may be available to you from your high school. Our office will provide proof of service at your request.

In addition to the online application below with a 250-word personal essay, you are required to attach two SIGNED letters of recommendation. Each recommendation should not exceed one page in length. There will be a section on the digital application to upload each of the signed letters of recommendation—PDF files preferred.

Failure to provide complete answers may affect the review or consideration of your application. The deadline to submit application is October 6, 2018.
