Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Herb Conaway Jr., MD (D-NJ) led five of his colleagues in a letter to Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, urging that he invoke his preexisting authority to allocate $36 million from the FAA Facilities and Equipment (F&E) account to the Philadelphia Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) at the Philadelphia International Airport. This funding is crucial for implementing the necessary upgrades to the Philadelphia Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS).

“The NJ Transit rail system is a vital part of everyday life in New Jersey. Each day, thousands of New Jerseyans rely on it—whether it's to commute to work or visit family across the state. The rail system offers a convenient and cost-effective way to travel. However, with no agreement reached, the system has been completely shut down.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Herb Conaway Jr., MD, offered several amendments during the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee markup of 18 bills. Two of the amendments he submitted and discussed aimed to ensure that veterans retain access to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in light of the significant cuts proposed by Republicans to these programs. Both amendments were rejected, with every Republican on the committee voting against them.
